Samit Dravid, son of India’s one of the greatest cricketers ever — Rahul Dravid, has been named in India’s Under 19 squads for the upcoming home series against Australia. Former India captain’s son is set to feature in both the white-ball and the red-ball squads as IND U-19 will be hosting AUS U-19 for a multi-format series. Notably, Samit's father coached India's Under 19 team to the ICC U19 World Cup victory in 2018.

Notably, 18-year-old Samit recently participated in the Maharaja T20 Trophy with the Mysuru Warriors. However, his performance was underwhelming, as he managed only 82 runs in seven innings, averaging 11.71 with a strike rate of 113.88.

Mohamed Amman has been named captain of the 50-over squad. Amman is a middle-order batter and plays domestic cricket for Uttar Pradesh (UP). On the other hand, Soham Patwardhan, who represents Madhya Pradesh in the domestic scene of India cricket, will captain the four-day series squad against Australia.
