New Delhi: Mahendra Singh Dhoni has etched his name as one of India's cricket greats on the back of his stellar exploits as an outstanding leader, clinical finishing skills with the willow and razor sharp wicket-keeping pedigree behind the stumps.

In a career which has seen 'Captain Cool' annex all the 3 major ICC Trophies as India's most successful skipper and achieve numerous landmarks with his belligerent strokeplay, Dhoni has been supported in this journey by his wife Sakshi, who stood rock solid behind Mahi's triumphant and tough times

In a Instagram live session on the Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) handle, Dhoni's wife Sakshi revealed the top 3 moments cherished by her as she completes a decade of being married to Mahendra Singh Dhoni. She ranked the World Cup triumph in 2011 as well as her husband being honoured with the Padma Bhushan among the top three moments.

"When he got honoured, the Padma Bhushan. Second, when he got his honorary rank as a lieutenant colonel and then the World Cup 2011 (triumph)," Sakshi responded.

Dhoni tied the knot with Sakshi on July 4, 2010, a year before he skippered India to their second World Cup title on home soil, ending a long wait of 28 years.

The former captain was conferred with India's second highest civilian award, the Padma Bhushan, in 2018. Reflecting on her marriage, Sakshi said: "It has been good. I have seen the world through Mahi. I graduated from college and within a month I got married. Whatever I have learned, I have learned with him and through him."

Thirty-eight-year-old Dhoni has not played competitive cricket since India's painful exit from the 2019 World Cup semis against New Zealand. He was set to return to action in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

However, the league has been postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus crisis in the country.

Dhoni is the only captain to have won all the major ICC trophies (50-over World Cup, T20 World Cup, and Champions Trophy). Under his leadership, India also attained the number one ranking in Test cricket.
