New Delhi: Ever since the Indian cricket team's heart-breaking exit from 2019 World Cup semi-final, former skipper MS Dhoni have not played for his national squad as he took a sabbatical after that and due to this, speculations over his retirement have been in news.

The legendary wicket-keeper batsman was all set to make his much-awaited comeback in the 13th season of the IPL. However, BCCI postponed the T20 League indefinitely due to increasing COVID-19 cases in the country.

During an Instagram Live session on Chennai Super Kings' official handle, Dhoni's wife Sakshi on Sunday said that sudden trends about Mahi hanging up his boots baffle her.

"He has had zero presence on social media during this lockdown, I don't know where these things come from. I just don't know," Sakshi said during an Instagram Live session.

"Its only rumours ! I understand Lockdown has made people mentally unstable ! #DhoniRetires .. Get a life ! (sic)," Sakshi had written on Twitter.

While talking about Dhoni getting emotional after leading Chennai Super Kings to their third Indian Premier League title in 2018, Sakshi said during an Instagram Live chat on CSK's official handle: "Mahi is always emotional about cricket. It's his love."
