Meanwhile, Indian batting stalwart Virat Kohli also shared an Instagram story wishing his friends, family and followers a happy New Year.

The head of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore, VVX Laxman, also extending New Year Greetings. "May God bless you all with joy, health, success, and prosperity. Among the current crop of cricketers, Cheteshwar Pujara, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami all shared messages on social media.
