Rishabh Pant made history in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction, becoming the most expensive player ever after being signed by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for a record-breaking Rs 27 crore. This marks a mega shift in Pant's IPL journey as he bids an emotional farewell to Delhi Capitals, his team for the past nine years.

Delhi Capitals, despite releasing Pant ahead of IPL 2025 auction, were keen to bring him back using the Right to Match (RTM) card. However, LSG's massive bid secured the star wicketkeeper-batsman.
