Dhoni’s exclusive record breaking 8ooth stumping came in form of Bangladeshi captain Mashrafe Mortaza's wicket during the final of the Asia Cup. Currently, the former skipper might not have been in good form with the bat but certainly he hasn’t disappointed the fans when it comes to perform with consistency behind the stumps.
Apart from this, Dhoni led the Indian the Indian squad for a record 200th time in the last Super Fours game against Afghanistan.
When posed a question at the Toss, Dhoni said,“I was not really sure of where I am standing. I have captained in 199 ODIs, so this gives me an opportunity to make it 200. It’s all destiny and I always believed in that,”
“It’s not in my control, once I left captainship,” he said when questioned whether he believed that he would be able to complete 200 ODIs as the captain.
Standing behind Mark Boucher (998) and Adam Gilchrist (905) in the all-time list, Dhoni in all has played 90 Tests, 327 One-Day Internationals and 93 Twenty20 Internationals.
