Former India skipper Virat Kohli has been under intense scrutiny for his poor form throughout ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 tournament. He batted as an opener in all seven innings for India but flopped miserably, managing just 75 runs. While Kohli has been dealing with a rough patch, he still is an absolute game-changer.
'King Kohli' still has a chance for a royal finish by scoring big in the crucial IND vs SA T20 World Cup 2024 Final in Barbados on June 29.
Meanwhile, former team India head coach Ravi Shastri believes Virat Kohli shouldn't try to be overly aggressive and stick to his natural game.
"This is not his game. He's going too early for it, especially with Rohit Sharma playing aggressively at the other end," opined Shastri, speaking on Star Sports after Virat's flop show with the bat in India's semi-final match against England.

"He is more orthodox, but he can make up quite easily if he spends more time at the crease," said Shastri.
In the semifinal match against England, opener Virat Kohli began cautiously but then shifted gears with a massive six off Reece Topley in the third over. However, just two balls later, he attempted another big shot towards mid-wicket but misjudged the ball, resulting in his dismissal.
"When he tries to get out of his zone, he will get out in that fashion," Shastri said.
"He has tried to manufacture shots that are not there. You should do that when you're in top form, when you've got 300 runs in the competition. When you're looking to break free when the runs are not there, it's not easy. The key word is rhythm," Shastri added.
"I think Kohli should've played like Kohli has done for a decade," said former English cricketer Nasser Hussain.
