Cricketer-turned-commentator Navjot Singh Sidhu poked fun at star India pacer Arshdeep Singh over his batting skills ahead of the IND vs SA T20 World Cup 2024 Final in Barbados. The former India batter posted a video on Instagram with the caption, "Confidence 100 per cent, skills 0 per cent."

Since Navjot Singh Sidhu has been consistently praising Arshdeep Singh for his bowling heroics throughout the T20 World Cup 2024 tournament, his Instagram post was meant in jest and not intended to disrespect the rising Indian star.

Arshdeep Singh is currently the highest wicket-taker for India in the T20 World Cup 2024, with 15 wickets from seven matches. If he manages to take at least two wickets in tonight's IND vs SA T20 World Cup 2024 Final, he will surpass Afghanistan's Fazalhaq Farooqi (16 wickets) to become the highest wicket-taker in the tournament.

Arshdeep credited India's pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah for his success in T20 World Cup 2024.

"I guess a lot of credit goes to Jassi bhai (Jasprit Bumrah) because he puts a lot of pressure on the batters - he gives, what, three or four runs in an over - so batters are coming hard against me, and I just have to try and bowl my best ball and there are a lot of chances of getting wickets there," Arshdeep said, IANS reported.

"On the other end they see the runs are not coming and the asking rate is going high, so they take more risks against me. [There's a] chance always of getting a wicket there. So a lot of credit for my wickets goes to Jassi bhai," he added.
