Rachin Ravindra, the top-order New Zealand batter, is all set to become the youngest winner of the Sir Richard Hadlee Medal after he was announced as the country's male cricketer of the year. Amelia Kerr, meanwhile, was named the women's cricketer of the year and will receive the Debbie Hockley medal for the second year in a row. In addition, it was Kane Williamson who received the ANZ Test Player Of The Year Award as well as being able to get the Redpath Cup for men's first-class batting. 

Ravindra becomes the winner of the Sir Richard Hadlee Medal at 24 riding on a great season in which he has established himself as a regular member of both the New Zealand's red and white-ball sides and impressed with his performances even in the ODI World Cup 2023 in India where the Kiwis reached the semifinals but ended up losing to India at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Ravindra amssed 578 runs in the tournament, an effort which included three centuries and two fifties.






Rachin Ravindra Set To Play For CSK In IPL 2024


Ravindra will ply his trade for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2024. Riding on consistent performances throughout the year, the left-hander managed to impress the most successful side in the history of the tournament who acquied his services for Rs 1.8 Crore. Ravindra wasn't the only New Zealander that was acquired by CSK in this year's auction with Daryl Mitchell also being included by the team in their squad. With Devon Conway and Mitchell Santner already contracted with the most successful IPL team, there is a fair bit of Kiwi representation in CSK squad.
