Previously, all-rounder Shahid Afridi held this record.

In the 14th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Multan Sultans clinched a convincing victory over Lahore Qalandars by a margin of 60 runs. Usama Mir's remarkable spell saw him bag 6 wickets for 40 runs in Multan Sultans' resounding win over Lahore. Best bowling figures in Pakistan Super League (PSL) history: Ravi Bopara (6/16), Faheem Ashraf (6/19), Umar Gul (6/24), Usama Mir (6/40), Shaheen Afridi (5/4), Shahid Afridi (5/7)
