On Tuesday, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma congratulated Mumbai Indians for a successful Women's Premier League auction. Rohit also leads Mumbai Indians in the IPL and he took to his Twitter handle to wish MI. The Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023 Auction happened on Monday, February 13, in Mumbai.
"One family is now bigger and stronger! Congratulations @mipaltan on a successful auction. Looking forward to seeing our women's team in Blue & gold," tweeted Rohit.
Mumbai Indians roped in Harmanpreet Kaur for INR 1.8 crore. Teams like Delhi Capitals and RCB were bidding for the Indian captain but then, Mumbai acquired the services of the Indian skipper.
MI went on to acquire the services of international stars like Nat Sciver-Brunt (England), Amelia Kerr (New Zealand), Pooja Vastrakar (India), Yastika Bhatia (India), Heather Graham (Australia), Issy Wong (England), Hayley Matthews (West Indies), Chloe Tryon (South Africa).
