England won the toss and opted to bowl first. Oman struggled against England's bowling attack and were dismissed for a mere 47 runs in 13.2 overs. Shoaib Khan top-scored for Oman with 11 runs, but none of their batters managed to reach double figures during the innings.


Spinner Adil Rashid led England's bowling attack superbly, taking 4 wickets, while Jofra Archer and Mark Wood contributed with 3 wickets each.






England chased down the required 48-run target in just 19 balls to seal the historic win. Opener Phil Salt contributed 12 runs off 3 balls, while Jos Buttler scored a quickfire 24 runs from 8 balls. Jonny Bairstow added 8 runs and Will Jacks scored 5 runs before Buttler's explosive batting concluded the match.
