So India with five out of five wins go top of the table. More or less assured of a place in the semis but they shouldn't breathe easy as yet. Shami for his incredible performance, playing his first match this World Cup, was adjudged the Player Of the Match and fittingly so as New Zealand seemed to be in a great position until Shami & Co. returned to keep them down to 273. WICKET!!!! They were sure waiting for Kuldeep's remaining over but Kuldeep was waiting for it too and was up for the challenge. Out of all the fielders it is Jadeja who drops a catch. One of India's greatest fielders couldn't hold on to an easy catch at this level at point. Ravindra played an uppish stroke which went straight to him but out of his hands.
Ravindra was given out by the on-field umpire but took a review straightaway and as it turns out he had not made any contact with the bat off that Shami delivery but was still given out caught behind. Decision overturned and the batter survives.
Rohit Sharma stopped the ball off the last ball of the previous over and seems to have done himself some harm as he walks off the field. That means KL Rahul will lead the team in his absence.

Siraj delivered a superb over, more or less hitting the line and lengths ideal for this pitch. Young finds the single off the last to prevent it from being a maiden. After 8 overs, NZ- 19/1.
A single after that boundary and those were the only scoring shots coming in that over. After 7 overs, NZ- 18/1.
Young finds the boundary. Didn't look in complete control but effective as Young tried to slice the ball but it took a thicking outside edge, past the slip cordan and beating the third man fielder for a boundary.
And Siraj follows with another 2-run over. Some great bowling from India. But assistance from the surface too. NZ-13/1 after 6 overs.

India have lost a DRS there early in the innings. Bumrah in the third ball of the fifth over, got it in to the new left-handed batter Rachin Ravindra. But the ball was drifting down leg. Umpire's decision was upheld.
That's the end of a successful over from Siraj. Wicket maiden from the pacer. Iyer with a sharp catch at square leg that made that wicket possible. After 4 overs, NZ- 9/1.

First ball that Young faced of Bumrah and it's a boundary. He almost decided to leave it before a last-minute decision to play it towards the third man region. Deft touch, played so fine that it beat Siraj at the fence for a boundary.
