Former India skipper MS Dhoni has not been included in Wisden's All-time India T20I XI. Despite being one of the most successful skippers in history, he failed to make it into the XI. The new finisher of India Dinesh Karthik has been given the wicketkeeper's slot.
According to Wisden India, Karthik’s recent form has helped him to seal the spot into the XI. Dinesh Karthik’s strike rate of 150.31 is much better than Dhoni’s strike rate which is 121.15.
Released ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022, Wisden's All-time India T20I XI has Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as openers, and Suryakumar Yadav has been assigned the number 3 spot in the team. Sixer king Yuvraj Singh has been placed at number 5, followed by Hardik Pandya, Suresh Raina, and Karthik.
