There is no rest for Samson Dauda, the 2024 Mr. Olympia. The first Nigerian to win the esteemed title will not stay away from action to gear up for the next year's tournament but will remain in competition mode. Samson wants to prove that he is "not a one-show guy", something he announced soon after his emphatic victory at the Mr. Olympia this year.

He revealed that he would not be disappearing but will compete in the Arnold Classic Championship.

"I’m never going to disappear the whole year … as for the Arnold Classic, you’d best believe I’m going to be on that stage," he said.

Notably, the Arnold Classic, the tournament which hosts accompanying events outside the US, will have a cash prize of $500,000 on offer for the first prize. Dauda will be competing in Men's Open Division and will have his eyes on that amount.

With Dauda making his intentions pretty clear, the message is pretty obvious to his competitors as well as his fans. Notably, as the past trend suggests several champions of Mr Olympia have won the tournament once and that's pretty much it. Moreover, a win also guarantees automatic qualification for the event in the subsequent competitions.
