Birmingham: Matthew Parkinson, the leggie from England has bowled a whisker of a delivery to bowl out Imam-ul-Haq of Pakistan. While bowling from round the wicket to the left-handed Imam, Parkinson pitched the ball well outside off stump which sharply came back to hit the middle and leg stump of the Pakistan batsman.
The delivery reminded cricket fans of the days when Shane Warne used to dismiss left-handed batsmen by his sheer flight and spin. The incident happened during the 3rd ODI between Pakistan and England. Parkinson was bowling the 26th over of the match to a well set Imam-ul-Haq. The Pakistani batsman was playing on 56 in 73 balls when Parkinson picked up his wicket.
Take a look at the beautiful delivery bowled by Matthew Parkinson:
Parkinson's wicket looks so similar to the below dismissal by Warne:
This is the 3rd ODI between England and Pakistan. The first two ODIs were won comfortably by England. Pakistan made a strong comeback with the bat in the 3rd ODI as Babar Azam score a brilliant century. It was feared by the Pakistan fans that their team would suffer a whitewash but after Babar's innings, there is some hope for the Pak fans.
After the 2nd ODI loss, Former players like Shoaib Akhtar and Ramiz Raja came out in the open to express their disappointment with the team. Nine out of the 18 team members of the England team are uncapped players, which means that they have never played an international game before. Thus, it was being speculated that Pakistan might have a good chance to win the series with newer players in the England team. The English youngsters have turned that speculation around by winning the first two ODIs with ease.
