New Delhi: “Catches win you matches” – a term used so frequently in the world of Cricket, was justified to its core by Mitchell Marsh and Shaun Marsh on Day 1 of the first test between Australia and South Africa at Perth.

Australian seamers dominated the proceedings right from the first over of the day and reduced the visitors to a mere 242. In reply, Australia reached 105 for no loss with openers David Warner (73) and Shaun Marsh (29) punishing Steyn and company to all parts of the ground.

But what stood out on Day 1 apart from the Australian pacers were the two catches taken by Marsh brothers. Mitchell Marsh took a stunning catch diving to his left off a Starc delivery at gully on the very first over of the day. No sooner it had started to take social media by storm than his brother Shaun Marsh came up with an even more spectacular catch at forward short-leg to remove set batsman Temba Bavuma for 51.

Sit back and enjoy
