ENG vs AUS: England, led by Harry Brooks, defeated Australia by 186 runs in a 39-over match in the fourth England vs Australia ODI of the five-match series to level the series 2-2 at the Lord’s in London on September 27 (Friday). In what was a comprehensive performance by England in the fourth ENG vs AUS ODI, a particular moment stood out as Liam Livinstone smashed Australian pace spearhead Mitchell Starc for 28 runs in an over and finished with an unbeaten 27-ball 62.

Mitchell Starc had a tough outing in the Lord’s match, setting an unfortunate record for conceding the most runs by an Australian bowler in a single over in ODI history.

Livingstone Smashes Starc For Three Consecutive Sixes

In the final over of the first innings, Mitchell Starc conceded 28 runs as Liam Livingstone hammered him for four sixes and a boundary. Livingstone started with a massive six on the first ball as Starc missed a yorker but the left-arm pacer made a comeback on the next ball with a bouncer which went for no run.

However, Livingstone hit Starc for three consecutive sixes on the third, fourth and fifth deliveries of the over putting Starc under intense pressure. He then dented Starc’s figures for the day further by wrapping it up with a boundary off the final ball to close the English innings on 312-5 in 39 overs.

Eventually, Australia faced a defeat by 186 runs to let England level the series. The fifth and the final match will be played on September 29 at the County Ground in Bristol and will serve as a do-or-die contest for both the sides.
