Madhya Pradesh (MP) fast bowler Kulwant Khejroliya picked up four wickets in four balls as the team beat Baroda by an innings and 52 runs at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Monday (February 12). In what was Khejorliya's fifth match of the tournament, the left-arm pacer managed to achieve the historic feat as MP bowled Baroda out for 270 in the second innings, following on after their first innings ended at 132, in response to MP's 454.

Led by the 31-year-old speedster's efforts, MP wrapped up Baroda's second innings in 98.3 overs. It was fitting that Khejroliya was the one who took the last wicket, rattling the stumps of Shashwat Rawat, pretty much a lone warrior for Baroda barring Jyotsnil Singh (83) with the bat in the second innings, having scored 102. The wicket also meant the pacer could complete a fifer, ending with figures of 5/34 in 13.3 overs.

Meanwhile, MP's emphatic win was set by their dominant batting with wicketkeeper Himanshu Mantri scoring a fine hundred (111) and Shubham Sharma (61) and Saransh Jain (70) chipping in with half-centuries. Later, their bowlers were spot on with Anubhav Agarwal and Saransh sharing 3 wickets apiece. Khejroliya picked 2 for 23 in the first innings while Kumar Kartikeya had a solitary wicket to his name. In the second innings, other than Khejroliya's fifer, Kartikeya picked three while Anubhav got 2 wickets.

MP's next match will be up against Jammu and Kashmir at home beginning on February 16 at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Jammu and Kashmir are also coming on the back of a win, having beaten Puducherry by 19 runs.
