New Delhi: India's Test captain, Virat Kohli will be addressing a virtual press conference at 1 pm today in Mumbai before team India leaves for the South Africa tour. The SA Vs IND tour is set to begin with 3 Test match series, with the first one slated to start from December 26, Boxing Day.


The Indian captain is expected to clear the air on his participation in the South Africa ODI series that is to be played right after the three-match Test series is completed.

There were reports about Virat Kohli requesting to miss the ODI series after an alleged rift between him and India's newly appointed ODI captain, Rohit Sharma.


The operations of the Indian cricket team are in a mess as it was reported that Rohit Sharma is missing the Test series while Virat Kohli wanted to miss the ODI series of South Africa.


There were contradicting reports about Virat Kohli's participation in the ODI series against South Africa. The Indian Test captain will now look to clear this confusion and set the word straight on his participation in the SA ODI series. 


The Indian team will leave for South Africa on December 15. The three-match Test series between the two teams will begin on December 26. However, all team India players have to undergo a three-day quarantine before they leave for South Africa, IANS reported.


The India vs South Africa 1st Test will be played on December 26 in Centurion. The third and final Test will be played in Cape Town on January 15. The 1st ODI of the three-match ODI series between India and South Africa will be played on January 19. The ODI team will only be announced on December 26 after the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
