Indian cricketer KL Rahul tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of India vs West Indies series, Hindustan Times reported quoting BCCI president Sourav Ganguly. KL Rahul has been out of cricketing action since the T20I series against South Africa at home last month due to a groin surgery.
Rahul tested positive for Covid in Bangalore and his departure to West Indies will depend on his recovery. Rahul was rested for the ODI series against West Indies starting on Friday but was named for the T20I series.
Last month, KL Rahul underwent a successful surgery in Germany. "It's been a tough couple of weeks but the surgery was successful. I'm healing and recovering well. My road to recovery has begun. Thank you for your messages and prayers. See you soon," KL Rahul had shared a post on the Koo app.
Recently, a video has emerged on social media showing the 30-year-old opening batter at the nets facing India women's cricket team's most successful pace bowler Jhulan Goswami.
The right-handed batsman on Wednesday shared a video of him training hard at the NCA. In the video, Rahul can be seen doing various physical activities and going through cricketing drills.
