KL Rahul, the star India cricketer, is in the news for a social media post associated with him which he never made. While Rahul had posted an Instagram story in which he said that he was about to announce something but he did not reveal what his announcement would be regarding. Not much later, a picture went viral which seemed to suggest that Rahul had announced his retirement from cricket. However, the post was fake and the Karnataka cricketer never made it.
And now Rahul has made unveiled what his announcement was that he intended to make. In his new Instagram story, Rahul wrote: "Our auction was a big success, and with these proceeds we aim to enrich the lives of many special children. Thank to everyone from our cricket fraternity who contributed towards this special cause."
Notably, Rahul and his wife Athiya Shetty have managed to collect a fund of Rs 1.93 crore for Vipla Foundation. There was an auction which was in place to collect funds for this and it had personal things of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma among other things that were put on auction.

Is KL Rahul Retiring?
The news of KL Rahul retiring is far from true. Rahul was part of the Sri Lanka ODIs and a day after the fake retirment post that went viral was seen gearing up for the Duleep Trophy match. As far as India's cricketing calendar is concerned, the Men in Blue's next match is against Bangladesh on September 19.
