New BCCI Secretary: Jay Shah is the frontrunner to be the next chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC). With Shah set to get the support of Cricket Australia as well as the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Jay Shah is more or less confirmed to be the next chief of the world cricket governing body. However, in case, the 35-year-old indeed becomes the youngest to be the ICC Chairman, then who could be the next BCCI Secretary.

Rajeev Shukla, Ashish Shelar Among Potential Replacements For Jay Shah
A report carried by news agency PTI has listed our four names who could potentially go on to replace the Shah in the BCCI. The first of those happens to be that of Rajiv Shukla. The current BCCI Vice-President is not new to cricket administration by any stretch of imagination. He has rich experience of cricket administration and he is also a Congress Member of Parliament (MP) in the Rajya Sabha and shouldn't mind taking up the role either.
Ashish Shelar is another name that is listed in this particular report. The Maharashtra BJP leader is the current BCCI treasurer. The only demerit is that he is in active poltics and given that BCCI Secretary is a time-consuming job, he might want to leave that ball. However, given that he is an influential figure, he could be considered.
