New Delhi: The Indian team is set to lock horns against New Zealand in a three-match T20I series, followed by ODIs starting from Friday. Ahead of the first T20I, Hardik Pandya and Kane Williamson gathered for the customary photo shoot. The two skippers were preparing for a photo shoot that is when videographers captured a dramatic visual. The trophy was almost blown away by the heavy wind, but luckily, Williamson managed to catch hold of it before any damage was done to the trophy.

The newly made skipper Hardik Pandya spoke to the media on Wednesday about a number of topics including Williamson being released by Sunrisers Hyderabad.

"There is a disappointment of the T20 World Cup, but we are professionals. We need to cope with it the way we cope with our success and move forward, look to get better and rectify the mistakes we made," said Hardik.

"Yes, the next T20 WC is almost two years so we have time (to unearth new talent). A lot of cricket will be played and a lot of people will get enough chances.

"The road map starts from now. But it's too fresh right now. We have a lot of time so we will sit down and have conversations on those grounds. Right now it's making sure that the boys enjoy playing here. We will talk about the future later," he added.
