Over nine innings, he bowled 151.1 overs and claimed an impressive 32 wickets at an exceptional average of 13.06 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. 32 wickets is the most an Indian bowler has taken in a Test series in Australia.
Prasidh Krishna provided an update on Bumrah’s fitness at the end of the play on Day 3, revealing that the Indian pacer experienced back spasms and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Day 4 of the IND vs AUS 5th Test started with India being 141-6 with Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar on crease. Australian captain Pat Cummins provided the hosts a crucial breakthrough as he got rid of Jadeja. He soon struck again as Cummins sent Washington back in the hut. Scott Boland continued his prime form as he took the rest of the scalps and Australia bundled the visitors for 157 runs.
