India's Tour Of Sri Lanka, 2021: Before the start of the series against Sri Lanka, team India's vice-captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar has said that the experience of playing in the IPL will be of great use for the young players. The current Indian squad includes six players who are yet to make their international debut.


According to the pace bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar, these players might not have international experience, but they have played a lot of domestic cricket and league (IPL) cricket, which will prove helpful for the team in this series.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar said: "We have many good players who have a lot of experience playing in the IPL. All these youngsters have been playing T20 cricket for a long time and have done exceptionally well for their respective teams at the domestic and league levels."


He also said: "These young players have tremendous talent and they will carry their IPL confidence in this series as well. There are many experienced players along with them and I sincerely hope that this tour is successful."

Devdutt Padikal, Chetan Sakariya, Nitish Rana, Krishnappa Gautam, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Varun Chakravarthy have been included in the Indian team for the first time for this tour.


Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who is returning to international cricket after recovering from an injury, has said that domestic cricket has helped him a lot.


"When I recovered, domestic cricket was being played. My focus was on getting fit and making a comeback. I then started preparing for the games. Before the England series, I played domestic cricket so that I could get maximum match practice," Bhuvi said.


The Indian team, captained by Shikhar Dhawan, is currently on a tour of Sri Lanka, where it is scheduled to play three ODIs and three T20s.
