SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) kept their hopes alive to secure a berth in the IPL 2020 playoffs by registering a dominant win over Delhi Capitals (DC) in an league encounter played at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai on Tuesday (Oct 27).


SRH secured a 88-run clinical win riding high on blistering half tons by David Warner-Wriddhiman Saha opening duo and an all-round bowling display by their bowling unit.

Put into bat first by Delhi Capitals skipper Shreyas Iyer, Warner and Saha got SRH to an absolute flying start posting racking up staggering 77 runs in the powerplay. It happened to be the highest score by any team in the powerplays in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League at UAE..

Warner and Saha tore into the Delhi seam duo of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje from ball one of the SRH batting innings by hitting them to all parts of the ground at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.

While Rabada was taken to the cleaners with him being hit for 37 runs off his two overs, Anrich Nortje also proved expensive with 17 runs of his opening spell.

Sunrisers Hyderabad went onto post a mammoth 220 run total on the scoreboard in Dubai and a handed Delhi Capitals a massive 88-run win with their bowlers bowling out Iyer and Co for paltry  131 runs.
