Rajasthan Royal's power hitter Sanju Samson might have not provided the fireworks with the willow against Kolkata Knight Riders but he produced a moment of magic in the field by pulling off a stunning catch to dismiss KKR'S Pat Cummins off RR medium pacer Tom Curran's bowling.

In the 18th over of the KKR innings, Pat Cummins miscued a pull shot off Tom Curran's bowling and the ball went high up in the air at deep backward square. Samson who was patrolling the boundary took a spectacular catch to effect Cummins dismissals. Samson who is also hailed as one of the best fielders in the RR set-up, got a bit off balance while holding on to the catch and fell backward to land on his head. Despite landing in a rather awkward position, Samson held onto the catch.

Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar happened to notice Samson's superlative athleticism and heaped praise on him for taking such an outstanding catch. Sachin also went back into memory lane and recalled memories of taking a similar catch against the West Indies in the 1992 World Cup.

"Brilliant catch by @IamSanjuSamson! I know how much it hurts when you bang your head like this on the ground. I experienced it in the 1992 World Cup in our match against the WI when I took a catch," Tendulkar said in a tweet.

Rajasthan Royals were denied a third straight win in the ongoing IPL 2020 as Kolkata Knight Riders defeated them by a 37-run margin in Dubai on Wednesday evening.
