There was a bit of purple hue in the stands at the Dubai International Stadium as KKR Owner and Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan with his wife Gauri and son Aryan watched on his team register a second win in the ongoing 13th season and leapfrog to the second place in the points table.
Shah Rukh Khan was overjoyed with his team's thumping victory over Rajasthan Royals and lauded the all-round efforts and performances of the youngsters by posting a congratulatory message on social media. 'Badshah' Khan even went onto retweet a post by Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar which heaped praises on on KKR's clinical win.
"Now anything I would say about @KKRiders & the boys will mean nothing. The great man has spoken. Just so happy to see all in the team propping up the youngsters & making it count. Love you boys ‘lots of pyaar from a little afar’," Shah Rukh Khan tweeted.
'Master Blaster' Sachin Tendulkar heaped praises on the key performers in the KKR vs RR game and highlighted the stupendous efforts of Shubmann Gill, Eoin Morgan, Andre Russell and Kamlesh Nagarkoti in Knight Riders thumping win over the 'Royals'.
"Important knock by @RealShubmanGill who played some good shots. @Russell12A’s brief cameo & good finish by @Eoin16 got @KKRiders to a decent score. Terrific bowling performance as well.
