Rajasthan Royals (RR) will lock horns with Delhi Capitals (DC) in Game 30 of the Indian Premier League Season 13 at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai (UAE) later on Wednesday evening.

The IPL 2020 match between DC and RR is scheduled for a 7:30 pm (IST) start with the toss slated to take place at 7:00 pm (IST).

While second placed-Delhi Capitals come into the contest on the back of a loss against table toppers Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals pulled off a scintillating chase against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the previous encounter.

Steve Smith-led Rajasthan Royals would also look to even out scores and register a win against Delhi Capitals after losing to Shreyas Iyer-led team in their previous encounter on October 9.

How To The Teams Stand In The IPL 2020 Points Table

Delhi are in a very strong position to make it to the play-offs courtesy 10 points in the bank from their seven outings. Rajasthan Royals got a second lease of life to stay alive in the hunt for the play-offs after their trilling win against SRH which fetched them another 2 points. RR's spirited chase was pulled off by Rahul Tewatia and Riyan Parag who smashed 60-odd runs in the last 5 overs to shock Warner-led 'Orange Army'.

Wicket-keeper Batsman Rishabh Pant's Injury Major Worry For DC

Delhi has a major injury worry with wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant ruled out for a few games due to a hamstring injury. If will have to be seen as to who fills in Pant's place in the playing XI. Will it be Alex Carey again or will hard hitting batsman Lalit Yadav get a look in.

Delhi Has Depth And Balance In Both Batting And Bowling

Despite the absence of Pant, Delhi still have a formidable batting unit with both openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw,  and a dangerous middle order in Marcus Stoinis and Shimron Hetmyer in good form with the willow.

Delhi Capitals bowling has fared really well as a unit with both their seamers (Rabada and Nortje) and spinners (Ashwin and Axar Patel ) being among the wickets and choking the opposition for runs.

Rajasthan Royals Need To Do Away With Over Dependency On Frontline Batsmen

Rajasthan Royals will look towards their top heavy batting lineup to deliver with the willow against a potent Delhi Capital bowling unit. The likes of Jos Buttler, Steve Smith and Sanju Samson are due for a big knock after a spree of early dismissals in their recent encounters. The inclusion of English all-rounder Ben Stokes has added both balance and depth to the Royals playing XI.

Rajasthan Royals too have firepower in their bowling unit with English seamer Jofra Archer in red hot form. Archer would require support from Jaydev Unadkat, Ben Stokes and promising young seamer Kartik Tyagi. Meanwhile, Shyres Gopal will once again don the mantle of the frontline spinner for Royals. Gopal is likely to be partnered by one of Rahul Tewatia or Riyan Parag as the second spinner.
