Delhi Capitals tearaway speedster Kagiso Rabada not only led the bowling efforts in his team's clinical 46-win over Rajasthan Royals at Sharjah on Friday (October 9) but also re-wrote the IPL record books yet again.

The South African speedster who picked up 3 wickets against Smith's 'Royals' broke Indian seamer Vinay Kumar's IPL record of bagging at least a wicket in consecutive games in the coveted T20 league on matchday 23 of IPL 2020 in Sharjah.

Kagiso Rabada's 3-wicket spell meant that he had taken at least one wicket in the last 20 consecutive Indian Premier League (IPL) matches. The Purple Cap holder surpassed R Vinay Kumar's record of bagging at least one wicket in 19 straight IPL matches.

The all time leader for taking most wickets in consecutive IPL games happens to be Windies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo who has picked up a wicket in 27 straight games in the marquee T20 league.

Rabada who has been red hot wicket taking form is the runaway leader as the leading wicket taker in IPL Season 13 with 15 scalps in his kitty so far.

Rabada once again delivered with the ball in his team's fourth win of the season as he dismissed Rahul Tewatia, Jofra Archer and Varun Aaron, returning with figures of 3 for 35.

Rabada is the Purple Cap holder with a 4-wicket cushion over KXIP seamer Mohammad Shami, who is second on the wicket-taking list with 11 wickets.
