Delhi Capitals continued with their winning way in the ongoing 13th Season of the Indian Premier League in the UAE by trouncing Rajasthan Royals by 46 runs at the Sharjah Cricket Ground on Friday (October 9)

Delhi Capitals dominant win over RR was their fifth win of the season in six matches and helped them leapfrog defending champion Mumbai Indians at the top of the points table. The Shreyas-Iyer team are now comfortably placed at the number one spot on the points table with 10 points in their kitty

Delhi are now scheduled to take on Mumbai Indians in the battle of the table toppers on Sunday. The winner of the contest between the in-form and most consistent teams in the tournament so far will end the week as the number one team on the Points Table.

Rajasthan Royals who were handed their fourth defeat of the season by Delhi Capitals continue to languish at the bottom of the table with 4 points. They are seventh on the points table, just a place above last placed Kings Eleven Punjab.

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders are at the third and fourth spot, respectively with six points in their kitty. KKR can again displace SRH at the third spot in the points table if they beat Kings Eleven Punjab in the first of the double headers scheduled later in the afternoon today.

The points table could witness a change in the standings of the team after the KKR vs KXIP and CSK vs RCB encounter. While RCB has a good opportunity to move up to the fourth position with a win over CSK, Dhoni and Co would look to pull off a win against 'Kohli's Red and Black Brigade' and add another two points to their kitty.

There was no change at the top in both the Orange and Purple Cap standings. While KXIP skipper KL Rahul continues to occupy pole position in the Orange Cap standings with 313 runs in his kitty, DC's Kagiso Rabada strengthen his number position as the Purple Cap holder (15 wickets) by adding 3 more wickets against RR.
