Indian cricket team former star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh took to social media to pay tribute to "the greatest left-handed legends" of cricket on the occasion of International Left Handers' Day.
The 38-year-old tweeted a collage consisting of some former legendary left-handers like West Indies former batsman Brian Lara, team India's former skipper and current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and the great batting pair of Australia's Matthew Hayden and Adam Gilchrist.
"Here's a tribute to some of the greatest left-handed legends the game has produced. Add on to this golden list and share with me your favourite left-handed batsmen #InternationalLeftHandersDay," said Yuvraj in his post, tweeted from his official handle.
One of team India's greatest all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh, is remembered for his unforgettable contribution in team India's two biggest victories at ICC events -- 2011 World Cup and 2007 T20 World Cup.
However, recently in an interview, Yuvraj had revealed he was handled unprofessionally towards the end of his cricketing career.
"I just felt that the way they managed me towards the end of my career was very unprofessional. But looking back at a couple of great players like Harbhajan (Singh), (Virender) Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, also very badly mismanaged. So it is part of Indian cricket, I had seen it in the past and I was not really surprised," Yuvraj said on Sportskeeda's Free Hit show.
"But in the future, anybody who has played for India for a long time and has been through tough situations, you should definitely honour him.
"Give him that respect, somebody like Gautam Gambhir, who has won two World Cups for us. Sehwag, who has been the biggest match-winner after Sunil Gavaskar in Tests. VVS (Laxman), Zaheer (Khan), also," he added
