Jaiswal (unbeaten 143 runs off 350 balls) batted for the entire Day 2 and broke a plethora of records with his maiden ton on Test debut. Speaking to the broadcasters after the end of Day 2's play, Jaiswal termed his maiden Test ton on his debut an 'emotional' knock.
"I think this is one of the emotional knock for me, it’s difficult to get opportunities in the Indian team, I would like to thank everyone, the supporters, team management and Rohit Bhai," Jaiswal told the broadcasters after Stumps on Day 2 of IND vs WI 1st Test.
"I love Test cricket, I like this challenge, I enjoy the situation when the ball swings and seams. We have worked hard on everything, I’ve just gone out to express myself," he added.
Team India have a solid lead of 162 runs and are expected to make solid gains on Day 3 of IND vs WI 1st Test before spin duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin spin a web to rattle an opposition that doesn't have enough technical wherewithal to counter them for two days.
