Team India in firm control of INDIA vs WEST INDIES 1st Test

Scintillating tons from skipper Rohit Sharma and debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal helped team India pile on 312/2 at stumps on Day 2 of India vs West Indies 1st Test at Dominicia's Windsor Park on Thursday (July 13). While Sharma returned back to the Indian dugout soon after scoring his ton, Jaiswal remained solid at one end. Shubman Gill, who came out to bat at number three, was dismissed for mere 6 to join Rohit in the hut. At Stumps on Day 2, Jaiswal (143 off 350 balls) and Virat Kohli (36 runs off 96 balls) remained unbeaten and will continue India's innings on Day 3.

Earlier, on Day 1, veteran Ravichandran Ashwin (5 wickets for 60 in 24.3 overs) picked a record-breaking five-wicket haul, his 33rd in international cricket, to restrict hosts West Indies for a paltry 150 in 64.3 overs with Ravindra Jadeja chipping in with three wickets.
