New Delhi: Cricket South Africa on Sunday announced a 17-member squad for the three-match ODI series against India. Bowling all-rounders Wayne Parnell and Zubair Hamza, who recently performed brilliantly against Netherlands, managed to find a place in the national team once again.


Left arm fast-bowler Marco Jansen has been selected in South African ODI team for the first time.


Young fast-bowler Marco Janssen has been included in the South Africa squad for the three-match ODI series against India, starting January 19. 21-year-old Jansen bagged five wickets in his first Test, last week.


Anrich Nortje ruled out of Ind vs SA ODI series due to injury


In the ODI series against India, South Africa will be captained by Temba Bavuma while Keshav Maharaj will be the vice-captain of the national team. Veteran speedster Enrique Nortje will miss Ind v SA ODI series due to a hip injury.


Former captain Quinton de Kock, who recently announced his retirement from Test cricket after series opener against India, remains out of Proteas squad.


India is all set to clash against a depleted South Africa in Ind vs SA 2nd Test, starting from January 3 at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.


After a resounding win in the Boxing day Test, India have taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match Test series. India has never won a Test series in South Africa, a win in second Test will ensure a historic win for the Men in Blue.
