New Delhi: Pakistan's young sensational speedster Mohammad Hasnain (3 wickets for 20 runs) bowled a dream spell in his debut match in the Big Bash League (BBL). The 21-year-old started his BBL career with a "bang" as he picked up three wickets in his first-ever BBL over, while bowling against the Adelaide Strikers.


Hasnain, who made his BBL debut for Sydney Thunder on Sunday, picked wickets on the second, third and fifth balls in the third over of the Adelaide Strikers' innings.


Hasnain's first wicket was of Matthew Short, who was caught out by Daniel Sams. On the next ball, he trapped Jake Weatherald in front of the wickets for an lbw.


After this, Jonathan Wells, the next man in, denied Hasnain a hat-trick. But on the fifth ball, the young Pakistani got him caught out as Ben Cutting took an easy catch. With this, he completed his three-wicket maiden over against Adelaide Strikers.


Hasnain took 3 wickets for 20 runs in his quota of 4 overs.






The 21-year-old has played 18 T20s and 8 ODIs for Pakistan. In T20Is, he has taken 17 wickets at an average of 30.70.  In ODIs, the speedster has taken 12 wickets at an average of 37.91.


Talking about the match, batting first, Sydney Thunder scored 172 runs for loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Matthew Gilkes top scored for Sydney Thunder with 93 runs off 57 balls.


Chasing the 173-run target , Adelaide Strikers were bundled up for 144 runs in 20 overs and hence they lost the match against Sydney Thunder by 28 runs. For Adelaide Strikers, Harry Nielsen scored the maximum 39 runs.
