India vs South Africa, IND T20I, ODI, Test squads: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially unveiled Team India's squad for upcoming India vs South Africa all-format (T20I, ODI, Tests) tour of South Africa 2023-24. India's tour of South Africa 2023-34, commencing on December 10, includes three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Test matches. Additionally, India A will be engaged in two four-day matches against South Africa A, along with an inter-squad three-day match during the course of IND vs SA 2023-24 tour.
PTI reported that veteran batters Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane may have played their final Test matches, with their positions likely to be taken over by Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul. Furthermore, Shubman Gill is expected to shift to the middle order, and Yashasvi Jaiswal is anticipated to be given an extended opportunity in the playing XI.
The majority of players chosen for the ODIs are distinct from those in Tests or T20Is. Among the selected players, only three individuals -- Shreyas Iyer, Mukesh Kumar, and Ruturaj Gaikwad -- have earned spots in all three squads.
