India vs Pakistan cricketing fixture is one of the most sought after sporting rivarlies in the world. With the eyes of the sports loving population on this contest, some found it a perfect opportunity to display a political message.
An aircraft was spotted above the Nassau, where India are playing Pakistan but what caught the attention wasn't the flying object but the message in a banner which was attached to it.
A video has been shared by news agency Asia News International (ANI) which shows an aircraft flying in the skies with the message: 'Release Imran Khan'.

Imran Khan Serving A Prison Sentence In Pakistan
Notably, Khan, who is currently 71-year-old, was sentenced to 10 years in prison by a lower court. The charges levied against him are of revealing a classified cable sent to him Pakistan's ambassador in Washington to Islamabad in 2022. Imran has been behind the bars since August 2023.

Khan was himself a former captain of the Pakistan cricket team. An all-rounder par excellence, Khan famously came out of retirement to lead his team to victory in the 1992 ODI World Cup, where they beat England in the final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Meanwhile, India are in a spot of bother against Pakistan in T20 World Cup 2024. After being invited to bat first, they have vbeen reduced to 96/7 in 14.2 overs. From 89/3 to 96/7 in less than 3 overs meat it's Pakistan who would fancy their chances against the Men in Blue.
