IND vs AUS: Pictures of India skipper Rohit Sharma from his brother-in-law Kunal Sajdeh’s Haldi ceremony have gone viral on the internet. Rohit's wife Ritika posted some heartwarming pictures of her brother's sangeet and Haldi ceremony on Instagram.
Ahead of India vs Australia three-match ODI series, it was revealed that skipper Rohit Sharma won't play the ODI tournament opener in Mumbai due to family commitments. Rohit's brother-in-law Kunal is reportedly getting married on March 16-17, and the senior opener will join the national team ahead of Ind-Aus 2nd ODI.
Hardik Pandya, who has been enjoying a golden run in white-ball formats, will lead team India in 1st ODI in Rohit Sharma's absence.
After leading Gujarat Titans (GT) to a maiden win in Indian Premier League (IPL 2022), Hardik impressed everyone when he got a chance to lead a second-string Indian team in away and home T20Is. Now, the star all-rounder has a great chance to showcase his leadership credentials in ODIs. Ex-India skipper Sunil Gavaskar, one of the most respected voices in international cricket, has already said that Pandya should take over India captaincy from Rohit after 2023 ODI World Cup.

“He has been an impressive captain. I have been very impressed with his captaincy at the T20 level for the Gujarat Titans and for India when he is captaining the T20 side. I do believe that if he wins the first game in Mumbai, then you can almost stamp him as the India captain once the World Cup is over in 2023,” Gavaskar said on Star Sports Game Plan.
A total of three matches will be played between India and Australia, starting from March 17, Friday. The first ODI between India and Australia will be played in Mumbai.
