India and Pakistan were up against each other for the second time in Asia Cup 2023 on Sunday, September 10. While they had met earlier in this month in what was a Group-stage encounter, this time around it was a Super Four fixture which brought the two teams up against each other. Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and invited India to bat first in this match. However, the plan did not seem to have worked as India's openers Rohit Sharma and Shuman Gill got them off to a fluent start

Rohit and Gill added 121 runs for the first wicket at the score of which the India captain got out. In the very next over, Gill departed too. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul then held forte for the Men in Blue which was interrupted by rain at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. At this point, India were 147/2 after 24.1 overs and even though there were positive signs that the match would resume, rain returned again and eventually the match had to be pushed to the reserve day with the Indian innings now set to resume on September 11 (Monday).

Amid all of this though, a new video has surfaced on social media in which Pakistan's left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi can be seen handing over a gift to Jasprit Bumrah for the Indian speedster's new born son. "Many many congratulations.. This is a small gift from for your son from my side. May he become new Bumrah," he can be heard saying in the video.

Here is the video:

Talking about Afridi, he did not have a good first spell in the ongoing match in Colombo as he was taken to the cleaners first by Rohit but later by Gill. However, he came back for a second spell and got the wicket of Gill with a slower ball. His remaining overs could hold the key when India's innings resumes on Monday (September 11).
