IND vs PAK: Weather hasn't been kind in this Asia Cup 2023. While some have questioned the scheduling of the continental tournament, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has tried to make amends and put in a reserve day at least for the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan Super Four fixture, a move which was also met with criticism. Thanks to the reserve day there is is still some hope that the IND vs PAK Super Four encounter of Asia Cup 2023 will end in a result.

Although the arch-rivals' Group-stage face-off in Kandy had washed out without a result, on that occasion, there was no reserve day. This time around, there is an reserve day in place and thus even as only 24.1 overs were bowled at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday (September 19) with India on 147/2, the match will now be decided on Monday, September 11 which happens to be the reserve day.

India vs Pakistan Colombo Weather September 11

Having said that, the weather doesn't look too promising on September 11 either. As per information from several meteorological websites, there is a notable probability of rainfall, with AccuWeather forecasting an 80 percent chance of precipitation beginning at 5 pm. This weather outlook is primarily associated with the elevated humidity levels, expected to reach approximately 78 percent. But it is equally important to note that weather forecasts aren't always accurate and actual conditions may differ.

As per the hourly weather forecast on Weather.com, probability of rain never goes below 70 per cent after 3 pm which is the designated start time on reserve day in Colombo on September 11 (Monday). The highest rain probability is around 82% at 05:30 pm (IST) while the lowest it goes to is 72% which is at 06:30 pm (IST).

Notably, a minimum of 20 overs must have happened in Pakistan's run-chase for a result in this game. But for now, the match remains a 50-over a side contest with India set to resume their innings on September 11.
