India were chasing a total of 165 runs after the bowlers did not allow the England batsmen to score freely in the death overs. India began their second innings shakily as opener KL Rahul was dismissed for a duck. But the debutant Ishan Kishan made the most of the opportunity he got. The Mumbai Indians batsman scored a quick fire 56 of 32 balls and built a partnership with his captain to ensure India reaches to a score from where it would get difficult for English bowlers to contain the Indian batsman.
The next T20I between India and England will be played on 16 March 2021 at 7 pm, IST at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
