India are sitting in the driving seat in the India vs Bangladesh second Test at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. Despite losing over two days of cricket to rain and wet outfield, India fancy their chances of winning the fixture and clinching the series 2-0 after having beaten the series opener in Chennai. The match has been set up perfectly by their aggressive batting as they scored runs at a run rate of 8.22 to declare at 285/9 from 34.4 overs after the visitors were bowled out for 233 on Day 4.
And now their bowlers have responded in fine fashion in the second innings, dismissing the opposition for 146 in their second innings. While the Bangla Tigers were already 2 down at 26 at the end of the day's play on September 30 (Monday), Bangladesh did show some resistance with Shadman Islam and Najmul Hossain Shanto putting on a 55-run stand after Ravichandran Ashwin got an early wicket on the final day.

However, Ravindra Jadeja took 3 wickets in his first three overs while Shadman lost his focus soon after bringing up a fifty to fall to Akash Deep and the Bangladesh innings started to go downhill quickly. In the end, Jasprit Bumrah was too good to handle for the Bangladesh tail and ended with figures of 3/17. The spin twins of Ashwin and Jadeja also finished with three wickets apiece while Akash Deep had a wicket against his name.
Shadman Islam, Mushfiqur Rahim The Best Batters For Bangladesh
In their second innings, Shadman and Mushfiqur were the stand out performers for Bangladesh. While Shadman departed for 51, Mushfiqur almost saw the team through to Lunch on the final day but got out off the final ball of the session, implying a 95-run target for the hosts to win the Kanpur Test in two sessions.
