India have managed to make a match out of the India vs Bangladesh second Test at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur despite losing more than two days to rain. While only 35 overs were bowled on the opening day of the Kanpur Test, the second and the third days were called off without a ball being bowled. However, when play did resume on a bright and sunny morning in Uttar Pradesh's industrial town, India not only managed to bowl out Bangladesh out for 233 but even put on a record-breaking effort to declare at 285/9, their lowest-ever total for a first innings declaratio, taking a lead and putting Bangladesh to bat again.
It was then Ravichandran Ashwin's turn to scalp two wickets to suggest advantage India heading into Day 5. Ashwin got the first wicket early on the final day of the Test match, there was a partnership between Shadman Islam and Najmul Hossain Shanto that seemed to tTest India's patience. Shadman, in the process, became the first Bangladeshi opener to score a Test fifty on Indian soil.

Shadman Islam Brings Up 50 Off 97 Balls
Shadman got to the landmark of 97 deliveries but lost his focus soon after, trying to poke at a ball wide outside off and only managing to edge it to gully.

His dismissal came soon after Ravindra Jadeja rattling the stumps of Shanto who tried to reverse sweep the left-arm spinner the very first ball he faced and ended up losing his wicket. Wickets in quick succession mean India are sensing a sensational win after a period of resistance shown by Bangladesh batters.
