Virat Kohli-led Indian team will kickstart their tour of Australia with the 3-match One-day international series, which commences with the first ODI to be played at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground on November 27 (Friday).

The 3-match India vs Australia ODI series to be played between Nov 27 to Dec 2, is the initial leg of the all-format series between India and Australia, which will also includes 3 T20 internationals and four Test matches.

India will be led by their seasoned skipper Virat Kohli in the limited overs leg of the tour and will only be available till the first Test match of the tour to be played at the Adelaide Oval.

Kohli will fly back to India to be with his wife Anushka as the couple expect the birth of their first child. Meanwhile, Australia will be captained by their captain Aaron Finch.

India had beaten Australia 2-1 when the two sides locked horns in a 3-match ODI series on Indian soil earlier this year in January. India had also beaten Australia by 36 runs in their last multi-nation ODI engagement in the round robin phase at the 2019 ICC World Cup held in the United Kingdom.

While India will be playing their first international series in over eight months after their last ODI engagement against South Africa at home in March got cancelled due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, Australia had beaten arch rivals England 2-1 in their last ODI series played in September.
