Four days after facing each other in the finals of the ICC World Cup 2023, India and Australia will be locking horns again on Thursday as the T20 series starts between the two teams. The first game will take place at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Andhra Pradesh's Vishakhapatnam from 7 pm onwards. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the Indian side while Matthew Wade will captain the Australian team.
Earlier, in the World Cup final, Australia defeated India by six wickets and clinched the title for a record sixth time in Ahmedabad. Surya will look to contribute to the team's victory both with the bat and leadership skills while the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, and Avesh Khan will be eyeing a spot in the final 15 that will go to West Indies and USA to play the next T20 World Cup.
