India vs Australia T20 Series: Suryakumar Yadav played a blinder in the third T20 against Australia on Sunday. He scored a terrific 36-ball 69 runs against the mighty Australians. When India was chasing, skipper Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul were both dismissed early but Suryakumar Yadav alongside Virat Kohli saved the team and chased down the total of 187.

However, not many of us know that Suryakumar Yadav was not fully fit the night before the game. In the post-match interaction with Axar Patel, he revealed that he caught a fever a night before the game and some other health-related issues.

BCCI posted the conversation between the players, where the right-handed swashbuckling batsman narrated his ordeal.

In the video, Axar said the young batsman was not well was revealed only during the team meeting. He asked Surya how he dealt with this situation.

"The weather suddenly changed last night and there has been a lot of travelling recently. Because of all this, I had a stomach ache, then I got a fever as well...but at the same time I knew that it was a decider match," the right-handed batsman said.

"So I told the doctor and the physio that if there is a World Cup final how will I react? I can’t sit out saying I am not well. So you do whatever it takes, give me any medicine or injection just get me ready for the match in the evening," he said.

"Ek baar ground pe aa gaye, yeh jersey pehen liya toh phir emotion hi alag hai (And once I'm on the ground in this (India) jersey then there is a different emotion for me)," Surya added.
