Jasprit Bumrah achieved yet another significant milestone in his Test career as he dismissed Alex Carey of Australia with the first ball of Day 2 of the 1st IND vs AUS Test in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 at Perth on November 23 (Saturday). With Australia resuming from the overnight score of 67-7, Australia could only add three runs before Bumrah scalped the first wicket of the day on the very first ball of his over on Day 2. Bumrah came around the wicket and delivered a short, good-length ball angled in towards Carey. The ball moved away after pitching, grazing the outside edge of Carey's bat as he attempted to play at it. Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant safely gathered the catch, reducing Australia to 70-8 and helping the skipper bag his 11th five-for for India.
