The ongoing India vs West Indies ODI series seems to have created much excitement among the cricket fans across the country. And on Thursday, a huge crowd is expected to visit the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram to witness the fifth and the final face-off of the series which is currently being led by the hosts.

According to several media reports, match tickets of worth Rs 3 crores have been sold out so far. Students can avail the passes at half the actual prices and the Kerala State Cricket Association (KSCA) officials expect the venue (with a capacity of 45,000) to go full-house on Thursday.

“Nearly 30,000 tickets have been sold out so far and we are hoping to sell all of them by the match day. Students can show their ID cards to buy the tickets at a 50 per cent discount. They can buy the tickets worth Rs 1000 for Rs 500,” said a KSCA official.

Both the teams have arrived at their official stays and will soon hit the ground for net sessions.

Meanwhile, the West Indies have received a huge blow as their leading spinner Ashley Nurse picked up a niggle in the previous match in his shoulder and is likely to miss the final match.

On the other hand, India will look to register yet another clinical victory to seal the last ODI series on a high note.
